Police Probing Apparent Murder-Suicide Involving Father, Son In Maryland (Developing)

An investigation into an apparently murder-suicide involving a father and son is under investigation in Anne Arundel County, police say.

Officers were first called at around 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning to the 500 block of Retreat Court in Odenton to investigate a reported suspicious death involving a 34-year-old man who was found inside a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, the man's father was also found dead from what is believed to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the Fort George G. Meade Army installation later during the investigation.

No motive for what appears to be a murder-suicide has been released by the police, which is withholding their names pending the notification of their next of kin.

More information is expected to be released.
